Through long term research projects with both the Care Quality Commission and Creative partnerships, Amy has developed creative methods of engagement that enable hard to reach children and adults to participate in and valuably contribute to consultation and evaluation.
Through the process of engaging in carefully designed activities participants are able to explore and better understand their own thoughts and responses to events or questions, and to communicate these, without necessarily having to verbalise them or share them with other members of a group.
Amy has also worked with data analysts, and is skilled in representing information gained through a creative process in a quantifiable way.
This approach has been particularly successful in improving the quality of feedback from underrepresented groups, including people
whose first language is not English
who have a mistrust of authority
who have had extremely painful experiences
